BMW R NineT

So I recently picked up a BMW R NineT and I must say, the bike is awesome. Right out of the box this thing is great. It's very smooth, has great power and looks amazing. Having that said, I needed to make a few changes.

First on the list of changes was the exhaust. The stock Akrapovic silencer really does sound great, especially for being a stock can. However, I found myself wanting something a tad bit louder. After a whole week of researching online, I placed an order for an SC-Project Conic Slip-on. All I can say is, this exhaust is AWESOME. The noise it makes comes in the form of nice and crisp braps. In addition to replacing the stock exhaust, I also removed the butterfly flapper vale.

Next on the list of changes was the taillight and fender. As previously mentioned, the bike really is good looking. However, the whole taillight assembly including the rear fender is quite the eyesore. To remedy this problem, I turned to a California based company by the name of Motobox. They make an amazing LED taillight with integrated turn signals and also serves as a fender eliminator. Not only does this kit make the bike look better, but it is easy to install (plug and play) and works great.

These two changes really helped change the bike and make it that much more enjoyable to ride. For those of you who are reading this and have been inspired to make similar changes to your R NineT, I will put some links at the bottom of this post. As a cherry on top I'll add a link to the video showing how the new exhaust sounds on the bike. Ride safe everyone!
